PTFE Fluorocarbon Plastic Brake Pads are custom engineered to fit press brakes and other tensioning devices. They can be supplied as segments or bonded to metal carriers and adapter plates

Teflon® Brake Pads run silently and last up to 10 times longer than conventional brake pad materials.

Fluorocarbon Plastics (TFE)

Featuring virgin PTFE and TFE compounds with fiberglass, to achieve the desired coefficient of friction, these PTFE Brake Pads withstand temperatures up to 450°F but require approximately 1.5 times the pressure of conventional pads. Even with this greater pressure, they still last up to 10 times longer and exhibit less than .001” wear per 100 hours of operation.

Materials
Virgin PTFE, TFE resins with fiberglass and coloration fillers

Backings
Metal adhered with epoxies or mechanically joined. Can be supplied by Engineering Plastics or the customer.

Temperature
Up to 450°F
Air cooling fins are suggested for brake disk or drum
